Our Safeguarding

Accrington Wildcats ARLFC is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for all our children, young people, and adults.

Our Commitment

Accrington Wildcats ARLFC acknowledges its responsibility to safeguard the welfare of every child, young person, and adult who has been entrusted to its care. We are committed to ensuring that all members—whether children or adults—are protected from physical, sexual, or emotional harm and from neglect or bullying.

Key Principles of our policy:

  • The welfare of the individual is paramount.
  • All participants, regardless of age, gender, ability, race, religion, or belief, have the right to protection from abuse.
  • All suspicions and allegations of abuse will be taken seriously and responded to swiftly and appropriately.
  • All staff and volunteers have a responsibility to report concerns to the Club Welfare Officer.

Reporting A Concern

Zoe Davis is the designated primary contact for all safeguarding matters involving both children and adults at the club.

If you have any concerns regarding the welfare or safety of a member, please report it directly to Zoe immediately. She handles all reports with strict confidentiality and sensitivity.

Zoe will assess the situation and, if required, she will escalate the matter to the League and the Rugby Football League (RFL) on your behalf to ensure it is dealt with correctly.
