True Rugby Spirit: Brilliant Team Performance on the Road against Pilkington Recs & Halton Farnworth Hornets

ACCRINGTON, LANCASHIRE – The Accrington Wildcats U9s were on the road, travelling to take on both Pilkington Recs and Halton Farnworth Hornets in another fantastic morning of rugby league.

The Wildcats put in a brilliant team performance, with every player showing great determination, teamwork, and improving week by week. It was fantastic to see the confidence and skills continuing to develop across the entire squad in what were highly competitive and entertaining fixtures.

In attack, the Wildcats displayed some superb offensive play. The tries came from Seb, Henry, and Reuben, with all three players showing outstanding support play and relentless determination to battle their way over the line. Their effort to back up teammates and read the play was exceptional.

A very special mention must go to Seb, who produced a superb all-round performance and worked tirelessly throughout the games. Seb demonstrated a fantastic attitude and the absolute best values of grassroots rugby league by stepping up to play for the opposition when they ran short of players, showing incredible sportsmanship and club pride.

Defensively, the Wildcats were outstanding. The standout moment of the day came from a spectacular, collective defensive shift. Seb, Henry, and Reuben pulled off a magnificent team effort to hold the ball up over the try line, preventing what looked like certain scores for the opposition.

A huge well done to all of our U9 Wildcats. The effort, commitment, and visible improvements from every single player were clear to see, and everyone should be incredibly proud of their performances. Keep working hard and enjoying your rugby!
