Full Fixture ListThe Accrington Wildcats Under 7s squad is where the journey truly begins for boys and girls in School Year 2. This age group serves as the foundational stepping stone from our “Cubs” program into the world of structured team-play, with a heavy emphasis on non-contact fun and fundamental movement.
Our coaching philosophy for the Under 7s is built around “learning through play.” We focus on developing core motor skills—running, balance, and coordination—alongside the very basics of Rugby League. It’s about building a love for the game, making new friends, and learning what it means to be part of the Pride.
The Identity
Developing “Agility, Balance, and Coordination” (ABCs), simple hand-eye coordination, and listening skills.
The Pathway
The first official step in the Wildcats ranks, preparing young players for the move into Under 8s tag rugby.
