Match Report

The Wildcats took to the field with two exciting debuts, and both newcomers made a huge impression. Chase and Theo D stepped up brilliantly, showing strength, confidence, and real promise in their first outing for the team.
Chase announced himself in style, powering through defenders to score the opening try of the game. His strong running continued throughout the match, including a sensational break where he burst through multiple tackles and almost went the full length of the pitch for a second try. A debut full of energy, determination, and attacking threat.

Theo D matched that impact with a debut full of courage and physicality. He made several strong carries, took on some mighty tackles, and kept driving the team forward. His willingness to take the ball into contact and stand tall under pressure was a standout feature of his first game.
Across the team, the Wildcats showed grit, teamwork, and plenty of heart:
- Max’s powerful runs — Consistently pushed the team upfield with determined carries.
- Eli’s blistering pace — A rapid sprint down the touchline nearly saw him break free before being tackled into touch.
- Chester’s strong carries — Drove forward with confidence and helped gain valuable metres.
- Logan’s aggressive running — Another key ball-carrier who repeatedly challenged the defensive line.
- Theo B’s resilience — After an early foot injury, he showed real bravery to return to the pitch and contribute with determination.

Despite the final scoreline, the Wildcats delivered a performance full of effort, spirit, and exciting individual moments. With two impressive debuts and strong contributions across the squad, there’s plenty to build on.
Next week’s fixture:
The Wildcats are back at home as they take on Lachford Giants Blacks, a great chance to build on this week’s performance and come back even stronger.
